Check out the pictures of successful attempts to start herbal plants from seeds using growing lights.
From Susan H.
Mine is the smaller 3 pod style. The plants that are up now are small red Italian sweet peppers. The small dome is over lovage seeds. Nothing yet, and this is my 2nd attempt. The other picture shows the food, which your garden automatically let’s you know when its needed, the baskets that the sponges go in, the small domes and the circular labels. Instructions are easy. The light telescopes as the plants get bigger. Checking the water level is easy as its marked, and I check 1x a day. Last year I grew herbs in it. Next year I’m going to try tomatoes, as I found a cherry tomato variety that can be planted in a flower box….it hangs…who knew? I’ve had my garden for 5 years, I love it. I haven’t tried growing in the winter, but it’s always an option. I really think the bigger garden would be better for greens, but I haven’t tried it so I’m not an expert there.
