Ragweed is the plant that most people are allergic to if they have fall seasonal allergies. The Golden Rod plants bloom at the same time so people think its the Golden Rod plants that are giving them trouble. Ragweed flowers are green and produce pollen at the same time that Golden Rod plants are flowering. Ragweed grows everywhere so if you see it growing in your yard I would suggest removing it to the compost pile.
